The Ending of an ๐ธ๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ-a

I recently made the tough decision to end my monthly earring subscription, The Earring Envelope.ย

It had a good run, you guys! THREE FULL YEARS of providing statement earrings to your door! For some of you, that's like a million pairs of earrings. (Ok, actually closer to 36, but ๐’”๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ don't you guys have enough by now?!? ๐Ÿคฃ)

Some of you may be wondering "But ๐™ฌ๐™๐™ฎ??๐Ÿ˜ฉ" while others are probably a-๐Ÿ‘Œ with this decision. And the truth is, it's still a successful revenue stream for my business. So why, then, did I come to this decision? Welp, here are several reasons...

For starters, I've just run out of steam! Or maybe the concept has just run its course! Three and a half months in to this subscription,ย we found ourselves in the height ofย a global pandemic and people couldn't readily run out toย buy new earrings when they wanted to spice up their Zoom appearance. So I was there, popping into your mailbox with the pretty little pick-me-up we all needed at that time. And I will be forever grateful for each and every subscriber who has been a part of the Earring Envelope along the way, especially during the height of Covid!

Second, I am always mindful of your money. I know that there are a million different ways for you to spend your hard earnedย cash and the fact that so many of you have chosen to spend it with me month-over-month means the world to me. Truly! I've always strived to ensure you felt the value of your subscription and that it's money well spent from your point of view. With the rising costs of shipping, along with materials (#inflation), it's getting harder for me to design, create or even buy pre-made earrings while still managing margins that result in a little bit of profit.

Third, it's a time consuming undertaking. If it's all I did in this business of mine, it'd be a different story. But, the Earring Envelope subscription is only one small-ish revenue-generating arm of my business and one that requires a lot of mental time (planning, designing, strategizing, etc.) and tangible time (creating, making, packaging and mailing.) As this business continues to grow, I feel like my mental and tangible time are needed elsewhere.ย

When you join a small businesses subscription, your purchase provides consistent, needed income. And in the last few years, the subscription market has become over saturated. I mean, if there's a need, there's a subscription. Or there's Amazon. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But in all seriousness, your monthly Earring Envelope subscriptions have helped keep this business of mine afloat month-to-month the last three years.ย And by saying so-long to this subscription, I'm going to have to get creative with coming up with the revenue to fill that monthly void that this subscription hasย provided these last few years.ย ๐˜ฝ๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™„'๐™ซ๐™š ๐™œ๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™ž๐™™๐™š๐™–๐™จ!

Good news: I'm not going anywhere and I'd still love to be your jewelry dealer! ๐Ÿคฃ And now, you'll have the freedom to shop earringsย designs of your choosing, along with some other new creations I have up my sleeve!ย

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for going on this subscription journey with me and I here's to many more opportunitiesย for us to connect over future collections!ย
